2025 NISA Pro Cup Day 3 Recap

The group stage of the 2025 NISA Pro Cup is complete as Matchday 3 is in the books with some exciting drama on the final day as four teams book a spot in the semifinals. We’ve got plenty to cover today, so let’s get to the recap of Matchday 3 in the 2025 NISA Pro Cup.

Capo FC 6 Modesto City FC 0 (Friday October 17)

Capo FC cruised to a 6-0 victory over Modesto City FC and secured the top seed as Group B winners. We only had one goal in the first half from Cole Simes to give Capo the lead. It stayed 1-0 through halftime. In the second half, Daniel Segal scored twice, and Daniel Moreno and Dakota Hatzenbeller each added one for Capo FC. Jonathan Estrada added another as well to record his third goal of the tournament. Capo FC will face Peak XI FC in the semifinals Sunday, while Modesto City FC finishes their tournament run winless, allowing 22 goals in three matches during the group stage.

Los Angeles Force 1 DC Hyper 0 (Friday October 17)

The Los Angeles Force held on to defeat DC Hyper 1-0 and advance to the semifinals as winners of Group A. The Force had to play down a man when Josue Cartagena was sent off in the first half with a red card. Joel Quist scored the lone goal in this match for LA to secure the win. DC Hyper wasn’t able to capitalize on the man advantage and close out their tournament run, losing back-to-back matches. The Los Angeles Force will face the Northern Colorado Hailstorm Sunday in the semifinals.

Peak XI FC 2 Arkansas Wolves 1 (Friday October 17)

Peak XI FC edged the Arkansas Wolves 2-1 in the dome Friday and advanced to the semifinals. Sacko Konate and Ethan Loomis scored in the first half to put Peak XI FC ahead 2-0 just before halftime. In the second half, the Wolves got back into the match via an own goal by Peak XI FC to make it 2-1, but couldn’t get a late equalizer despite being down a man in stoppage time. The Wolves Pro Cup journey ends, and Peak XI FC will move on to face Capo FC in the semifinals Sunday.

Northern Colorado Hailstorm 1 Sin City FC 0 (Friday October 17)

The Northern Colorado Hailstorm found a way to get past Sin City FC, holding on to a 1-0 win and clinching the final spot in the semifinals. Travis Ward scored the lone goal for the Hailstorm in the second half. The Hailstorm went down a man in stoppage time as Daniel Hernandez Jr. was sent off, but NOCO held on to put away Sin City FC. Sin City FC had plenty of chances in this one, but couldn’t capitalize on them as the Las Vegas side saw their tournament run end despite scoring 13 goals in three matches during the group stage of the NISA Pro Cup. The Hailstorm will face the Los Angeles Force Sunday in the semifinals.
