We have reached the halfway point in the 2026 NISA Spring Showcase. Sin City FC and LA Force are well ahead of the pack as the rest of the teams try to keep up as we approach the second half of the spring season. Let’s recap all the action from the last couple of weeks in the Southwest Region.
NISA Spring Showcase – Week 3 Results
Capo FC 1 Los Angeles Force 3 (Saturday April 11)
In a rematch of the 2025 NISA Pro Cup final, the Los Angeles Force came out on top with a 3-1 win against Capo FC Saturday at JSerra Catholic High School Stadium in the 405 Derby. The Force struck first with a goal from Alejandro Juarez to take an early lead. LA added another goal with a nice chip from Jose Montes De Oca (aka Chila) to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, LA continued its stellar form on offense as George Almeida slots it past the goalkeeper to give the Force a three-goal advantage. Capo FC pulled one back with a goal from Uriel Sanchez to cut LA’s lead. However, later in the match, Force goalkeeper Mark Gamez was called for a foul and received a red card as LA went down to 10 men. However, Capo FC could not capitalize on the man advantage as LA takes all three points.
NISA Spring Showcase – Week 4 Results
Sin City FC 7 Royal Society FC 1 (Saturday April 18)
Sin City FC rolled past Royal Society FC 7-1 at Mater Academy East High School Stadium. Ebrima Njie scored the opener for Royal Society FC, but after that, it was all Sin City. Miguel Higareda scored twice, Angel Morales scored a hat trick, and Jose Quintero and Duce Bell added a goal apiece as Sin City FC secured back-to-back wins.
Los Angeles Force 3 Problems FC 1 (Saturday April 18)
The Los Angeles Force beat Problems FC 3-1 at St. Anthony High School Stadium. In the first half, Alejandro Juarez struck first for the Force to take the lead just before halftime. In the second half, George Almeida added another goal to extend LA’s lead by two before Problems FC pulled one back from Coby Jacobs to make the score 2-1. Later in the second half, Roberto Molina scored the insurance goal to put this match away as Force stays unbeaten in its first four matches.
Capo FC 12 Inland Empire FC 1 (Saturday April 18)
Capo FC crushed Inland Empire FC 12-1 at JSerra Catholic High School Stadium. Before kickoff, Capo FC held a moment of silence for Laurie Abrahams (aka Coach Lol), who passed away on April 12. Coach Lol was an assistant coach for the club during its inaugural NISA season in 2024. Juan Manzano scored the opening goal for Inland Empire, followed by two goals from Abdul Mansaray, Cole Simes, and Daniel Segal for Capo FC to take a 4-1 lead. It was 4-2 at halftime, but in the second half, Mansaray added another to secure a hat trick, and Segal ended up with four goals while Jonathan Santiago, Terry Bamou, and Parker Scalzo added one apiece for Capo FC to secure their first win in the 2026 NISA Spring Showcase.
NISA Spring Showcase – Week 5 Results
Sin City FC 4 Los Angeles Force 3 (Saturday April 25)
Sin City FC avenged its earlier loss to the Los Angeles Force back in week 1 with a 4-3 victory on Saturday at Mater Academy East High School Stadium. It only took two minutes for the first goal of the match as Jose Quintero scored the opener for Sin City FC in the 2nd minute. Three minutes later Jonathan Estrada buried the equalizer for the LA Force. Oscar Delgado added another goal to give the Force a 2-1 lead. Sin City FC responded with two quick goals from David Villanueva and Brandon Vargas to restore their lead 3-2, but Edgardo Artero leveled the match before halftime. In the second half, Miguel Higareda scored the winning goal as Sin City FC held on for the win and move to the top of the Southwest Region table on goal difference over the LA Force with both teams at 12 points. With that result, the Force’s four-match winning streak came to an end.
Capo FC 3 Problems FC 0 (Saturday April 25)
Capo FC beat Problems FC 3-0 Saturday at JSerra Catholic High School Stadium to extend their win streak to two in a row. Abdul Mansaray scored twice in the first half to give Capo FC a 2-0 lead before halftime. Late in the second half, Byron Castillo added a goal to put this match away as Capo FC avenged its loss to Problems FC from week 2 last month.
Problems FC 6 Inland Empire FC 0 (Sunday April 26)
Problems FC bounced back from a 1-0 loss to Capo FC the day before with a 6-0 win against Inland Empire FC on Sunday at Long Beach City College. Roberto Gonzalez, Josue Mateo, Jorge Taylor, and Edwin Sanchez all scored for Problems FC in the first half to take a 4-0 lead into halftime. Luis Juarez and Juan Rodriguez added a goal apiece to help Problems FC take three points and snap its two-match losing streak, while Inland Empire FC has lost three consecutive matches in the 2026 NISA Spring Showcase.
